Effective protection for components
The MPS (Moisture Protection System) protective cover is an essential part of the REO insulation system and one of REO’s components’ most significant unique selling points. The MPS protective cover has been developed and is available exclusively from REO. It protects your components reliably and long-term from various environmental influences. Our components receive this special protective coating, in addition to the VPI impregnation, to provide the necessary protection in outdoor areas against abrasion of the pantograph, brake dust, metal abrasion, snow and ice; this offers the possibility of exposing the components to unfiltered cooling air while enclosed (IP20), this is a great advantage, for example, in terms of the flexibility of the railway constructions. For applications that specify Pollution Degree PD3, REO relies on this MPS protective cover.
REO only applies the coatings and varnishes in strict compliance with the necessary safety measures. Elaborate filter systems and safety standards ensure minimal impact on people and nature.
REO offers silicone coatings such as REO Xtreme or REO Mix & Match.
