Coatings, protective covers and complete enclosures
Especially in electrical components used in industrial systems and subject to strong external influences, reliable protective precautions are necessary to ensure that operation is as trouble-free as possible. To achieve this, the electrical components are treated with epoxy resin in a vacuum printing process and equipped with partial or full potting. The encapsulation reliably protects against external influences such as weather, water, dirt, deposits and mechanical stress and ensures the components’ increased service life.
REO offers various options for optimal product protection—whether with a coating varnish, a special protective coating, or a complete housing. REO products thus achieve a high protection class and a special resistance to dirt, moisture, and other environmental influences.
With REO Mix & Match, you can choose from a wealth of options – combine the different options such as conductor material, winding type and protection to always get the optimal product for your application.
Our new REO Xtreme protection even achieves the required test voltage when immersed in water. In the insulation test, the test specimen was submerged under water, and the insulation resistance was measured in relation to the surrounding water.
REO coating varnish, protective coating and REOXtreme meet the requirements of EN 45545-2 R22/R23 HL3.
